Cal Ripken Jr., one of the most accomplished baseball players in history, is bringing his youth baseball academy, The Ripken Experience, to Walt Disney World.
Young players ages 6-18 can visit ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex next year to take part in high-level youth baseball tournaments. Not only will these kids get to play baseball, but also have some fun with an exciting opening ceremony and plenty of free time at the parks.
Ripken played for the Baltimore Orioles for 21 seasons and was a 19-time All-Star shortstop. He earned the nickname “The Iron Man” after he set the professional baseball record for most consecutive games played – which is 2,632, if you’re counting.
More updates on this youth tournament will be shared in the coming months. If you know of a youth baseball team that could be interested in taking part in the Ripken Experience, visit RipkenBaseball.com/Walt-Disney-World.
