‘Rogers: The Musical’ will debut June 30 at California Adventure

The first episode of the Disney+ series, “Hawkeye,” featured a Broadway-style performance about Steve Rogers (aka Captain America), and fans have been calling for a real-life version of “Rogers: The Musical” ever since. Now, the waiting is over, and the show will debut at Disney California Adventure on June 30, 2023.

We first got an inkling that the fictional “Rogers: The Musical” might become a reality during D23 Expo last September, when Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige opened his presentation with the musical’s show-stopping number, “Save the City,” based on the battle of New York from the first Avengers film.

Then in February, Disney Parks shared a teaser on social media that fueled rumors the show would be staged in the Hyperion Theater, conveniently located next to Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure.

Well it’s finally official.

The all-new one-act musical production of “Rogers: The Musical” will debut for a limited run at the Hyperion Theater on June 30, 2023, to tell the story of Steve Rogers – along with Peggy Carter, Nick Fury, and select members of the Avengers – from his heroic beginnings in World War II to becoming Captain America.

The show will include “Save the City,” from “Hawkeye,” as well as “Star Spangled Man” from “Captain America: The First Avenger” and five new original songs written just for the production at the Disneyland Resort.

“Rogers: The Musical” will run approximately 30 minutes, from Tuesday through Saturday most weeks. Additional details, including show dates and times, will be shared at a later date.
