Rosen Shingle Creek is celebrating the season with a Winter Wonderland of family activities and free holiday performances.

The 2019 Winter Wonderland holiday event at Rosen Shingle Creek runs on Saturdays, Dec. 7, 14, and 21, from 6:30-9:30 p.m. in the hotel lobby.

Children can write out and share their Christmas wish lists with Santa, hear fanciful stories lovingly told by Mrs. Claus, pose with the family in a holiday photo booth and receive a face painting and balloon art to take home. There also is holiday karaoke where the whole family can try their hand at “All I Want for Christmas is You,” “Jingle Bells,” and other holiday favorites. While guests enjoy the Winter Wonderland activities, they also may explore more than 30 Christmas trees decorated by local nonprofit organizations, each crafted in their own unique styles.

Winter Wonderland events are free when dining at the hotel, or wristbands are $10 for adults and $5 for children younger than 10; self-parking for events is $5.

Free Holiday Choir performances are also scheduled at Rosen Shingle Creek on Saturday, Dec. 7, 14 and 21, in the early evening. Local choirs perform holiday classics set against a cozy, fireside backdrop. Christmas standards and modern holiday tunes are the centerpieces of the musical journey that locals and guests enjoy each Saturday night in December.

In addition, Nutcracker Ballet performances will be held at Rosen Shingle Creek on Friday, Dec. 6, 13, and 20, at 6:30 p.m. Dancing mice, toy soldiers and sugarplum fairies come to life in an abbreviated version of the holiday favorite performed in the hotel’s grand lobby by the young dancers at the Elizabeth Parsons School of Dance in Windermere. Admission is free to attend dance performance, and browse the more than 30 Christmas trees decorated by local nonprofit organizations.
