runDisney launches new membership offering with Club runDisney

runDisney is bringing new magic to their runners with the launch of a membership program called Club runDisney.

This membership option is available in three yearlong levels, with each one offering limited availability. Sign-ups will open on Feb. 18, 2020 at 10 a.m. Eastern, with membership beginning on Oct. 1, 2020 and running through Sept. 30, 2021.

Silver Membership

$265.43 per year (price includes 6.6-percent platform service fee)

  • Club runDisney designation on race bibs

Gold Membership

$478.63 per year (price includes 6.6-percent platform service fee)

Benefits include:

  • Silver Benefits plus…
  • A guaranteed opportunity to purchase one (1) spot in the half marathon or greater distances each race weekend through early registration

Platinum Membership

$798.43 per year (price includes 6.6-percent platform service fee)

Benefits include:

  • Gold Benefits plus…
  • A guaranteed opportunity to purchase one (1) spot in one distance each race weekend through early registration
  • Club runDisney Expo Experience including:
    • Club runDisney Lounge with convenient packet pick-up
    • Early access to runDisney Merchandise Shop with special character meet & greet opportunity
  • Upgraded corral placement

Race registration is not included in the cost of membership. Membership only guarantees that the cost of race registration will be the Tier 1 price, but does not guarantee that race spots will be available.

  1. This seems like just another opportunity for the rich to buy a better experience. Corral placement will now be based on $ instead of merit. I’ll have to think twice about running another Disney race.

  2. Really. Am glad we stopped running Disney races last year. They use to be so much fun. Coral placement was based on prior run times and all else was equal. To buy your way to an upgrade should not be necessary. I hope others continue to enjoy but we are done. Oh, I can see a change coming in the future, you can buy an upgrade and have someone run the race for you.
