Each genre of music includes contemporary and classic artists, with songs for every age group.

“Riding a roller coaster, going fast and the energy that’s in my music – they go hand-in-hand,” said MC Hammer, whose song “U Can’t Touch This” is a song choice on Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit. “So, riding Rockit at 65 miles per hour with the music pumping is going to be a lot of fun.”
Guests will use a personal touchpad mounted on the lap bar to make their music selection. They will choose their favorite genre – Classic Rock/Metal, Rap/Hip-Hop, Club/Electronica, Pop/Disco or Country – and then pick a song. Each seat is outfitted with individual stereo speakers so guests can rock out to 90 decibels of music – and yet never hear the songs playing for other riders. Their song pick will be the soundtrack to their ride and to a music video they can purchase that uses on- and off-board cameras to mix music, moves and special effects.
“I think that this is a really creative use of music. We’re very excited to be a part of something so outside the box and for our fans to experience music in this cool new way,” added Amy Lee, Evanescence’s founder, singer and songwriter.
Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit does not yet have an opening date.

Did they really need to put both “Stronger” and “Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger” on there? Seriously?
Also, how will we be able to tell the two Crystal Method songs apart if they’re both in the same category and all they list is the artist?
We are SO excited for this ride to open! The customization should really provide for a great user experience!
Please tell me I’m reading “Born to Be Wild” by *Hinder* wrong… >:O
On the other hand, riding a roller coaster with “Busy Child” playing sounds awesome. Is the music timed to the ride somehow a la that other Orlando theme park’s music-themed coaster? XD
i really love micheal jackson i miss him very much
no michael jackson yall lame
Really? OMG why even bother. You should be able to pick the music you want. When I think of a roller coaster i don’t see half those songs working. How about some Meshuggah or some Sleep Terror.
I listened to Pump It while I was on the ride and it was sooo good! It seemed to match up with the loops and spirals of the rollercoaster. So much fun!
I’m going there on Monday cant wait!
I will survive XD priceless
Listen to Stronger it goes so well with the coaster and is a rap classic
Maybe one day they will have it set up so you can plug your mp3 player in. That’d be awesome! I would definitely play some born to run by springsteen or even wild boy by machine gun kelly!
i have been on it twice and picked glamorous becuz i have always been worried of running out of time to pick a song so i pick a song that i know which catergory it is in but now im going to the studios with my camp next week and im going to pick stronger by kanye
i like “living in fast foward” by Toby Keith and “the devil went down to Georgia” by Charlie Danials band
I always listen to “Bring Me to Life” by Evanescence, it’s a great song and it literally brings the coaster to life for me.
