Significant construction progress has been made on the new complex as SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment work in conjunction with Miral, developers and managers of entertainment district Yas Island, toward the creation of this new center for research, conservation, and animal welfare.

Mohamed Abdalla Al Zaabi, CEO of Miral, said, “We are delighted to be partnering with SeaWorld Parks & Entrainment in developing this next generation marine life park, that is set to feature the world’s largest marine aquarium and the UAE’s first dedicated research center to study and care for animals. This is another major addition to Yas Island’s existing immersive experiences and attractions, and a testament to achieving our vision of positioning the island as a top global tourism destination for residents and visitors alike.”

The 6,604,301-gallon aquarium will house more than 68,000 marine mammals, including sharks, fish, manta rays, and sea turtles, with the highlight being the aquarium’s “Endless Vista,” a 65-foot tall vertical window showcasing aquatic scenes spanning several levels.

Themed as an innovative “Endless Ocean,” this next-generation experience will offer the chance for interactive and up-close encounters with the park’s marine life, in natural habitats across six “One Ocean” districts, creating greater understanding and appreciation of the wildlife and their ecosystems through storytelling techniques and cutting-edge technologies.

Yas SeaWorld Research and Rescue Center, located adjacent to the aquarium and theme park, will focus on SeaWorld’s ongoing research, rescue, conservation, and education efforts. Visitors can experience the facility by advance reservation, learning from resident scientists and researchers through demonstrations and tailored educational programs geared toward local and international schools and tour groups.

SeaWorld Abu Dhabi joins our North American parks in our mission and commitment to conservation efforts worldwide. We have hundreds of professionals focused on animal care, rescue and rehabilitation, conservation education, habitat protection, and species research, and we are excited to see the Yas SeaWorld Research and Rescue Center further expand SeaWorld’s positive global impact with the vitally important marine life conservation efforts in the region.”

The new developments join Yas Island’s existing world-class attractions of Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, Yas Waterworld, Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi, and CLYMB Abu Dhabi.
