Sesame Street characters are lovable all year long, but during the February 13-15 Kids’ Weekend, Busch Gardens Tampa introduces five brand new events for families to enjoy. From story-time to cookie decorating, it’s a kid-friendly way to share the love.

Valentine’s Storytime: Each Sesame Street character has their own idea of what love means, and Sunny Day Theater is the outdoor setting in which they’ll read the story, “Love from Sesame Street,” at 12:30 p.m. each day.

Find the Valentines Scavenger Hunt: In this scavenger hunt through Sesame Street Safari of Fun, families can help their favorite furry friends reunite with their lost valentines. Kids who find all of the valentines will receive an appreciation sticker at Abby Cadabby’s Treasure Hut gift shop.

Valentine’s Art with Sidewalk Chalk: Head over to the Air Grover area and put your imagination to work as you learn to draw some of the characters who live along Sesame Street in this physically distanced “sidewalk chalk art” activity.

Make-Your-Own Valentine: Pop over to the Sesame Street Pavilion and create your own Valentine’s Day card, with the perfect sentiments for the ones you love.

Cookie Decorating To-Go: Valentine’s Day and sweets go hand-in-hand with heart-shaped cookies and the yummy toppings to go with them. Decorating kits are available for purchase at Snack-en-geti, and Cookie Monster will make special guest appearances at nearby Sunny Day Theater to give the kids a friendly wave.

All weekend long, Elmo will also be on hand at the Sunny Day Theater for physically-distanced meet-and-greet photos, starting at 1 p.m., and his fuzzy friends will make appearances at 2:30 p.m.

With the Preschool Card, kids ages 5 and under can visit Busch Gardens Tampa Bay and Adventure Island water park for free, though December 2021 (registration required; Florida residents only).

Each of the Kids’ Weekend events allow for social distancing, and COVID-19 protocols are enforced throughout the park, including the required use of face masks for guests ages 2 and up. For more information visit BuschGardens.com/Tampa.
