Shaqtoberfest Halloween event is coming to Long Beach

Shaqtoberfest interactive Halloween experience brings frightful family-friendly fun to Long Beach, Calif. from late September through October 31, 2022.

The event is a collaboration between 15-time All-Star and basketball Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal, ABG Entertainment, and Thirteenth Floor Entertainment live events producers.

Participants can enjoy an afternoon of family-friendly trick-or-treating, games, treats, libations, and nighttime haunted trails, plus live entertainment based on the basketball great’s playful personality.

Once night descends, lights and music will be the backdrop for “the witching hour,” when O’Neal’s ghoulish minions take to the haunted trails and midways, bringing spirits to life.

“Halloween can’t come soon enough,” said O’Neal. “Thirteenth Floor Entertainment and I have some tricks up our sleeves to make this the most spook-tacular Halloween event ever!”

Shaqtoberfest will feature six Halloween-themed areas for revelers to explore, and will be narrated by O’Neal, all in the shadow of the moored Queen Mary ocean liner, now a hotel and attraction said to be haunted by previous passengers and the ship’s engineer.

Children are encouraged but not required to dress up in their Halloween finery for the event.
