Share Disney love with Mickey and Minnie candles by Homesick

I received my first Homesick candle last year when my sister sent me The Death Star candle as a present (thanks Charli). After using it for awhile, I noticed a hidden image appearing behind the label. This candle had a distinct smell, a message from a loved one, and a hidden design to find as you used it.
So, when Homesick reached out to us to try the Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse candles, I was eager to test their new Disney collection.
The Mickey and Minnie candles have matching “his and hers” packaging, but each has their own distinct scent. However, neither scent is overpowering, and in fact, I would say they’re more subtle than an average candle.
The Mickey Mouse scent is described as, “A playful blend of spices add a wink of fun, inspired by Disney’s Mickey Mouse. Enjoy pops of Italian mandarin and citrusy grapefruit for an instant smile.” I felt Mickey’s scent matched his personality quite closely. It certainly had a manly smell, but nothing incredibly masculine like cedar or leather.
The Minnie Mouse scent is described as, “A balance of soft magnolia petals, sweet peony and sandalwood add a timeless joy.” Minnie’s scent felt spot on. This smell was that of a subtle perfume with hints of flowers. Of the three Homesick candles I have tested, the Minnie Mouse candle felt like the most authentic smell.
A lot of companies offer Disney candles, but instead of being created to match the exact scent of the Haunted Mansion or the water in the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction, these scents are instead inspired by the ideals and personalities of Mickey and Minnie. From my experience, I also would say that these candles are more subtle and built for smaller spaces. I wouldn’t expect this candle to fill a large room or open space. But for those looking for a natural candle that does offer distinct scents that feel aligned with these characters, these Homesick candles do hit the mark.
Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse candles from Homesick can be purchased individually for $44 each or as a “Perfect Pair” for $88 (free shipping is available for purchases over $50). With regular burning, they’re expected to last 60-80 hours. I also asked about pets and was told these natural soy candles are safe to burn with pets in the home.
