Sip like an expert at a Wine Bar George summer wine experience
There are only 273 Master Sommeliers in the world, and George Miliotes – the owner of Wine Bar George at Disney Springs – is one of them. In August, guests can join George for a unique summer wine experience to learn how to taste wine like a master.
The 90-minute event at the only wine bar in Florida led by a Master Sommelier will be a “blind” tasting of six different wines hand-selected by George himself (wines will vary by event). Guests will also hear about George’s experiences in the wine world and what it takes to become a Master Sommelier.

Master Sommeliers must pass a series of tests that require them to identify a wine’s grape variety, country of origin, district of origin, and vintage by only its flavor, appearance, and aroma.
Wine Bar George Summer Wine Experience
The special wine tasting events will take place in the restaurant’s Barrel Room at 1:30 p.m. on Aug. 2, 7, 8, 14, 15, 21, 22, 28, and 29, 2023. Doors open at noon.

Summer Menus at Wine Bar George
New summer lunch and dinner menus at Wine Bar George include Snapper Crudo with miso and mushroom broth, cucumber pearls, and scallion oil (available for dinner); New York Strip Steak with parsnips, Swiss chard, rosemary vinaigrette, and guajillo butter (available for dinner); and the M.C.T sandwich made with Mortadella, calabrese, tomato, olive tapenade, and avocado on house-made focaccia (available for lunch). Dishes can be paired with more than 200 wines available by the glass, bottle, and ounce.
For dessert, a new Rolled Pavlova is made with white chocolate mousse and macerated berries topped with miso caramel, which George recommends pairing with Hetzolo, 5 Puttonyos, 2010, a dessert wine from Tokaj in Hungary.
