Six Flags Magic Mountain announces new ‘Holiday in the Park’ drive-thru event

This holiday season, Six Flags Magic Mountain is introducing an all-new socially distant drive-thru experience. Holiday in the Park offers guests of all ages the chance to celebrate from the safety and comfort of their own vehicles.

The holiday event will feature eight different themed areas across 125 acres of the theme park. The eight festive zones include:

  • Rockin’ Universe in DC Universe
  • Merry Lane, located in Metropolis
  • The Underground
  • Winter Wonderland
  • Holiday Square
  • Snowy Nights
  • North Pole Plaza
  • Gleampunk District

Guests will observe an impressive display of festive lights choreographed to holiday tunes. They’ll also have the opportunity to see Santa, Mrs. Claus as well as some of their elves during a distanced meet-and-greet.

“We are delighted to be reopening our park to safely celebrate the holidays with this unprecedented and magical event,” said Don McCoy, president of Six Flags Magic Mountain. “We have successfully transformed the traditional operation of our beloved Holiday in the Park into a new drive-thru experience that is sure to delight guests and team members alike. We are proud and honored to help our guests create special holiday memories, and to provide a feeling of hope and a small reprieve during this very difficult year.”

Holiday in the Park debuts on Nov. 20, 2020, and runs on select dates through Jan. 3, 2021 at 6 p.m. Each guest must purchase a ticket, with a minimum requirement of two passengers per vehicle. This event also requires reservations in advance, which are available online with Six Flags’ new reservation system. Visitors with active Memberships or Season Passes receive free admission, but must still secure a reservation.

Six Flags is offering a completely contactless experience, in accordance with health and safety guidelines provided by the CDC, California and Los Angeles County. To learn more about the safety requirements in place, click here.

Six Flags Great Adventure will celebrate the holiday season with its ‘Holiday Wine Festival‘, while Six Flags Great America will host the ‘Holiday Light Experience.
