Six Flags ‘will last and endure’ in Saudi Arabia, partner executive says
Six Flags “will last and endure” with its new Saudi Arabia park, a Qiddiya City executive predicts, as corporate changes continue for Six Flags U.S. parks.

Six Flags Qiddiya City opened on Dec. 31, 2025, in Saudi Arabia as Six Flags’ first park not located in North America, a next step in a larger plan to cultivate Qiddiya City into a sought-after resort destination.
Six Flags Qiddiya City represents a new type of destination for Saudi Arabia, as pointed out during the grand opening livestream by Morgan Parker, vice chair of Qiddiya’s development and management committees.
“Let’s not forget why we’re here. The reason we’re here is to create that access to lifestyle, access to recreation that the Saudi people deserve,” Parker said. “This is not an exotic, strange project. This is a country of almost 30 million people that are finally now getting access to leisure and recreational venues that other people have had for decades.”

Parker continued, “There are thousands of jobs that have been created here tonight … for young Saudi people — jobs that will be A.I.-proof, that are future-proof. If you think about the way the world is being disrupted by A.I., these are jobs up here at Six Flags that will last and endure. That’s really exciting for young people who never really thought about a career in hospitality or a career in entertainment [and] now have those pathways emerging before their eyes.”
North American Six Flags personnel recently said the company may close or sell more of its theme parks — after already shuttering several — as the company continues to evaluate its portfolio of over 50 parks following its merge with Cedar Fair in 2024.
Six Flags Qiddiya City is home to Falcons Flight, “which has had roller coaster enthusiasts salivating for years,” Parker said in the grand opening livestream. Falcons Flight is the tallest and fastest roller coaster in the world, and one of 26 rides at Six Flags Qiddiya City, quite a few of them record-breakers in their own right.
