Spot Manta track pieces, win tickets to ride

spotmanta.jpg

With the help of SeaWorld Orlando, we’re starting a new contest today. As you may know, Manta – the flying roller coaster being built by SeaWorld – is coming to Orlando in the summer of 2009. The track pieces are on their way to Orlando and if you spot them on the road and are the first to e-mail us a picture of them, you’ll win tickets to the park and to the front of the line for Manta. More details below.

Last month, two of SeaWorld experts visited Clermont Fabricator, the fabricators of Manta’s track, and gave the crew there the final OK, a big thumbs up on the track and supports. Over the next several weeks, all of Manta’s track will arrive at SeaWorld Orlando. The track leaves Batavia, Ohio today.

Here’s the fun part:
We’re giving two admission tickets to SeaWorld Orlando, along with front-of-the-line-access for two on Manta when it opens, to the first person to e-mail us a picture of a truck traveling with the Manta track onboard.

The tickets will be good for a year but if the winner plans on visiting SeaWorld before the opening of Manta, SeaWorld will provide them with front-row access for two on either the Kraken roller coaster or the Journey to Atlantis water coaster instead.

The route being taken is:
From Clermont in Batavia, Ohio to Sea World in Orlando.
Rte 32 West out of Batavia to Interstate 275 South;
I-275 south to I-75 South to Florida;
I-75 south to the Florida Turnpike;
Florida Turnpike to Interstate 4;
Interstate 4 to the Beachline (SR 528);
Beachline to SeaWorld.

The track is being shipped to a SeaWorld parking lot but unfortunately, pictures of the track in that lot don’t count. We’re looking for shots of the track trucking down the road, cutting through the fabric of America, heading down the lonesome highway.

Be the first to e-mail your picture to [email protected]. The winning picture will be posted on our Blog.
