Subscriber Exclusive: Homemade ‘Back To The Future’ DeLorean interview

DJ Elliot Hansen, an international “nerd DJ”, is well known in the Disney Parks community for his numerous appearances at Star Wars Weekends as DJ Lobot. And, being a nerd himself, he loves old sci-fi films and pop culture. One of those being the Back to the Future film franchise. He loves the films so much in fact, that he custom built his own screen accurate DeLorean.

Here’s an interview by Seth Kubersky:

“The car drove around Universal Studios for a couple years,” said Elliot, “Doc Brown did meet and greets with it in the park for a while. It has been to a bunch of various Comic Cons, its been in TV commercials, and YouTube videos. Its been all over the place.”

This homemade recreation is based on the look from the first Back to the Future film. It has a plutonium chamber and it’s possible to put the Mr. Fusion home energy reactor on as well.

Elliot was actually able to get an up-close look at the original DeLorean from the first film. From those views he was determined to find all the correct parts to make it as accurate as possible.
