Terminal C at Orlando International Airport now open to everyone

You may have been wanting to see Universal Orlando’s cool wrap-around video screen in Terminal C at the Orlando International Airport (MCO). Or maybe you want to check out Wine Bar George’s second location there. Whatever your reasoning, you couldn’t get past security unless you had a flight, until now.

The Palm Court area of Terminal C at MCO, as seen from the second story dining area of Summer House. A Summer House restaurant is also currently being built at Disney Springs.

Terminal C at MCO has been open almost a year, but access has been denied unless you were flying internationally or with JetBlue. Starting today, the airport has launched Experience MCO, a new program that lets you get pre-approved, without a flight, to visit Terminal C and enjoy all of its shopping, dining, interactive art, and even a fun TTA Peoplemover-looking ride. It’s also nice if you have family arriving or leaving. You can once again meet them at their gate.

There are three large two-sided video walls in the middle of Palm Court known as the Moment Vault. The inside walls are interactive.

How it Works

This 100-foot-long, 32-foot-tall display is comprised of three adjacent, panoramic screens. It shows 12k videos shot from Central Florida locations. It’s probably not a coincidence that this transition between scenes looks like Spaceship Earth.

Step 1. Apply Online
Visit https://experiencemco.orlandoairports.net. Provide your date of birth, gender, and full legal name exactly as it appears on your passport or driver’s license. You’ll receive a confirmation email verifying that your request has been received.

Step 2. Get Approved
Your request will be reviewed by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). Once you get your approval email, you’re good to go.

Step 3. Show Your Pass
You’ll receive your Experience MCO Visitor Pass attached to your approval email. When entering the TSA checkpoint, show them you electronic pass and your photo ID.

A few things to note:
• You have to use the general screening line, where you currently must remove your shoes. Even if you are signed up for Clear or TSA-Pre, you may not use those lines.
• If you park at the airport, you have to pay for parking. It’s $2 for the first 30 minutes, then $1 for each 15 minutes up to a maximum of $19.
• The pass is only for Terminal C, not A or B.
• You must pick an hour window for your arrival between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., and you must leave by 8 p.m.
• There are limited passes available each day, so book your time as far in advance as you can. But if there’s availability, you can book same-day with approval coming within 15 minutes.
• Printed Visitor Passes are not accepted. You must show it on your device.

Terminal C has gotten some flack for making passengers walk long distances. But these PeopleMover-looking carts are free to ride. They’ve also just started the process for adding some moving walkways.

Now that you know how to do it, Here’s a look at just some of the 20-plus stores and restaurants you’ll find inside:
• Walt Disney World Store
• Universal Orlando store
• Seaworld Store
• Wine Bar George
• Sunshine Diner by Chef Art Smith
• Brighton
• Cask & Larder Bar
• Orange County Brewers
• PGA Tour Grill (coming soon)
• Summer House

At the end of the corridor of gates are these large wrap-around windows, which are perfect for plane spotting.
