Later this month, “The Music of Disney on Broadway” will debut at Dr. Phillips Center as part of its ongoing Frontyard Festival.
“The Music of Disney on Broadway” is a theatrical concert starring some of Broadway’s brightest stars. Ashley Brown (“Mary Poppins”), Michael James Scott (Genie from “Aladdin”), Kissy Simmons (Nala from “The Lion King”) and Josh Strickland (“Tarzan”) will perform.
The show features hit songs from “The Lion King,” “Hercules,” “Newsies,” “Beauty and the Beast,” “Tarzan,” “Mary Poppins,” “Aladdin,” “High School Musical,” “The Little Mermaid,” “Aida,” “Freaky Friday” and “Frozen.”
There will be three performances, taking place at 1:30 p.m. on March 20, and 8 p.m. on March 20 and 21. Tickets start at $25 per person with a two-person minimum. For each matinee ticket purchased, guests will receive free admission for any child under the age of 18.
The Frontyard Festival at Dr. Phillips Center is an outdoor, socially-distanced festival featuring a variety of COVID-19-friendly shows and events. Guests must wear masks at all times unless actively eating or drinking. Everyone is also seated in private, elevated boxes stationed six feet apart from one another.
