Tokyo Disney Resort’s newest on-site accommodation, the Tokyo Disney Resort Toy Story Hotel, now has an official opening date!
The new Disney hotel will open its doors to guests on April 5, 2022, immersing them in the playful, whimsical world of Disney and Pixar’s “Toy Story” films.
Upon arrival, guests will feel as though they’ve been shrunk down to the size of a toy. Outside, guests will find oversized toy action play figures, each one around four meters (about 13 feet) tall, of their favorite characters. Buzz Lightyear and Jessie can be found in a Slinky Dog Park in front of the entrance, and Woody and Bo Peep can be found in Toy Friends Square, a courtyard just off the lobby.
The lobby itself is a toy-filled, colorful space with a jigsaw puzzle-inspired floor and a ceiling that looks like a board game. The guest rooms recall Andy’s bedroom from the first “Toy Story” film, featuring the iconic blue-sky-and-puffy-white-cloud wallpaper, as well as Woody’s Roundup-inspired headboards and an oversized Mickey Mouse wristwatch hanging on one of the walls, along with other toy-like furnishings.
The hotel features one restaurant and two merchandise locations for guests to enjoy. The Lotso Garden Cafe features an interior inspired by the strawberry-scented pink teddy bear from “Toy Story 3,” and offers buffet service for breakfast and dinner. Over at Gift Planet (Disney shop) and Shop Together (hotel shop), guests can find Tokyo Disney Resort merchandise, hotel-exclusive items, and a range of daily sundries.
The Tokyo Disney Resort Toy Story Hotel is a moderate-level accommodation, and offers 595 rooms — 575 standard rooms and 20 “superior” rooms. Rooms that sleep up to three guests offer two regular beds and a trundle bed, while rooms for up to four guests have three regular beds and a pull-down bed.
