Travel back in time at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom for ‘Renaissance Days’
Every weekend in March, Six Flags Discovery Kingdom will transport guests to the Renaissance era at a limited-time special Renaissance Days event.
In partnership with Lava Productions and The Northern California Renaissance Faire, Six Flags Discovery Kingdom is bringing the fun and fantasy of Renaissance Days to life at the Vallejo, Calif. theme park on Saturdays and Sundays, March 6-28, 2021.
The minute guests enter the gates, they will encounter characters in colorful costumes, see period décor, meet craftspeople selling handcrafted goods, engage in interactive entertainment, and taste the most popular foods of the time, including turkey legs, savory meat pies, and much more. Plus, the queen and her royal court will be attending the festivities.
Guests are encouraged to wear Renaissance-era costumes under the following guidelines:
- No full facial costume masks and/or coverings (cannot cover eyes)
- Partial face paint is acceptable
- Props or accessories, such as swords, knives, arrows, projectiles, or any perceived weaponry, are not allowed at this event
- Guests must wear footwear and shirts (no wheeled shoes)
Although rides are currently unavailable, Six Flags Discovery Kingdom’s world-class animal exhibits and presentations are included with admission to the Renaissance Days event. Face masks are required for all guests over the age of 2, and social distancing will be enforced at all times.
Admission tickets start at $24.99 (plus city fee) per person and may vary by day (Children ages 2 and under are free). Members and Season Passholders can attend Renaissance Days using their pass for free admission. Advance online reservations are required for each guest that purchases a ticket, has a Membership, or Season Pass.
