U.S. Postal Service will release commemorative ‘Go Beyond’ Forever stamps based on the Disney and Pixar movie, ‘Lightyear.’

The U.S. Postal Service has announced its latest Forever stamp theme, “Go Beyond,” based on the upcoming movie, “Lightyear.”

“Lightyear,” the latest computer-animated sci-fi adventure by Pixar Animation Studios, delves into the character Buzz Lightyear’s origin story, and opens in theaters on June 17, 2022.

Titled “Go Beyond,” the pane of 20 stamps features images of Buzz, the intrepid space ranger who, in “Lightyear” is stranded with his crew on a hostile planet 4.2 million light-years away from Earth, and is tasked with finding his way home again.

Pixar Animation Studios graphic designer Greg Breeding was the “Go Beyond” commemorative collections’ art director, and took his inspiration from illustrations from the movie.

Details such as the release date of the stamp collection will be announced later in 2022.
