Ultimate Foodie Guide to Disney’s Lunar New Year celebrations

After skipping 2021 (the Year of the Ox), Disney California Adventure’s Lunar New Year celebration is back to ring in the Year of the Tiger with delicious Asian-inspired dishes.

From Jan. 21 – Feb. 13, 2022, Disneyland Resort’s popular (and in my opinion, most delicious) cultural festival will celebrate Lunar New Year with Chinese, Korean, and Vietnamese traditions and flavors.

“This Spring Festival — as it’s also known — has a little bit of everything, from sweet snacks to savory dishes, all featuring unique elements inspired by these cultures,” wrote Disney’s Global Food & Beverage Digital Integration Specialist Nicole Cantore in the Disney Parks Blog. “Once you taste these items, you’ll instantly be basking in happy vibes (and a full stomach) for the year ahead.”

In addition to the Lunar New Year celebration at Disneyland Resort, guests can also mark the Year of the Tiger at Hong Kong Disneyland Resort and Shanghai Disney Resort.

To make the most of the limited-time Lunar New Year celebration, guests can purchase a Sip and Savor Pass that includes six coupons redeemable for select food and non-alcoholic beverages at the four Lunar New Year Marketplace kiosks as well as participating dining locations throughout the park.
