Universal Beijing Winter Holiday returns with new immersive experiences

Universal Beijing Resort invites guests to celebrate the holiday season with festive decorations, new seasonal merchandise, and a brand-new show at the park’s iconic Spectacular Christmas Tree featuring newly themed lighting and music and the all-new Universal Characters-Spectacular Christmas Tree Special Meet and Greet.

Spectacular Santa’s Village Makes Surprise Debut

This year, Universal Beijing Resort will undergo a surprising holiday makeover featuring Spectacular Santa’s Village at Hollywood Amphitheater, offering an immersive winter-themed experience and an all-new, limited-time winter performance called “This Time of Year Is.”

Several times a day, dozens of singers and dancers, along with Illumination’s Bob, Stuart, Margo, Edith, and Agnes; Alex and Shrek from DreamWorks Animation; and Mr. and Mrs. Claus, will take to the stage and transport the audiences to the North Pole and embrace Winter festivities in the Blockbuster World.

In addition to the new show, Spectacular Santa’s Village will offer other interactive experiences, limited-edition themed merchandise and food options, including:

• Santa Meet and Greet in the brand-new Santa’s Cottage
• The Elf Toy Shop and Mrs. C’s Candy Shop – Holiday-themed merchandise, including The Wizarding World of Harry Potter Christmas Ornaments, light-up headbands, cookie pack and lollipop set, and Butterbeer Candy Cart Container
• Spectacular Santa’s Village Food & Beverage – Holiday favorites, including a new Turkey Jianbing Wrap and Venison Meat Ball Jianbing Wrap, Toffee Flavored Apple Cheesecake, Mulled Wine, hand-crafted Winter Hot Chocolate, and Winter Popcorn

Universal Beijing Winter Holiday on Hollywood Boulevard

Along Hollywood Boulevard, a magical “snowfall” will occur every thirty minutes, and at the end of the street, the park’s Spectacular Christmas Tree returns with a brand-new “Spectacular Christmas Tree Show,” including newly themed lighting and music.

At the all-new Universal Characters Spectacular Christmas Tree Meet and Greet, favorite characters from DreamWorks Animation like Shrek, Fiona, Puss in Boots, Kitty Softpaws, and others dressed in winter-themed attire will pose for photos with guests. Po, Mei Mei, and Tigress from Kung Fu Panda Land of Awesomeness will also welcome guests to the holiday celebration just inside the park entrance.

Guests will find holiday snacks and beverages throughout the resort, including Sunset Grill in Hollywood and Hammond’s in Jurassic World Isla Nublar, which will offer menus specially created for the winter season.

Universal Beijing Winter Holiday Food and Merchandise

The resort’s hotels and Universal CityWalk Beijing will also provide guests with memorable holiday experiences, including a holiday breakfast at The Universal Studios Grand Hotel featuring the Minions and Gru’s family dressed up in winter outfits and new winter-themed holiday menus at NUO Resort Hotel’s Café Royal and JIA (NUO Lobby Lounge will also serve a winter-themed holiday afternoon tea).

The global debut of the Chilly Willy winter-themed merchandise series will include cold weather scarves, penguin backpacks, and bag pendants. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Kung Fu Panda, and Transformers merchandise series will also feature new winter products, including a Hogwarts Four House Check Cardigan, Kung Fu Panda Valley of Peace rabbit hats and headbands, Transformers Gen One 1981 series knit scarves, and more.

At Universal CityWalk Beijing, guests can enjoy the Winter Holiday-themed lights and an ice-skating rink. Plus, several restaurants and food kiosks will introduce brand-new themed dining options, including the Winter Season Celebration Feast and Merry Berry Milkshake from The Toothsome Chocolate Emporium & Savory Feast Kitchen and Roasted Turkey Pizza from Red Oven Pizza.
