Universal Orlando debuts all-new Mardi Gras Tribute Store for 25th anniversary
Universal Orlando is offering a new way to celebrate this year’s Mardi Gras with the opening of the first-ever Mardi Gras Tribute Store.
Located just outside the French Quarter in the New York section of Universal Studios Florida, the store serves as an homage to authentic New Orleans tradition, full of exclusive photo-ops and specially designed Universal Orlando Mardi Gras merchandise for purchase.
Once guests step inside, they’ll find themselves inside a dusty forgotten jazz hall, where ghostly trumpets echo through the halls.
A few steps forward, and guests will enter “The Cemetery” room, inspired by New Orleans’ famous Lafayette Cemetery, as they pass through a Universal Studios archway surrounded by tombs and statues.
After staying their welcome in the crypts, guests will find themselves leaving the Big Easy and heading into the backwater bayou of rural, Southern New Orleans. The “Bayou” room puts gets right in the heart of the swamp, complete with shacks and sounds of the bayou.
Merchandise found inside the Tribute Store includes unique masks, themed apparel with the “25 Years of Party” design, Voodoo doll charms, hand-painted skulls and skull walking sticks, collectible cups, and more. There is also an exclusive Annual Passholder T-shirt available.
