Very cute picture (and video) from Discovery Cove

The first baby lesser anteater born at Discovery Cove receives her daily check-up by animal trainer Higinio Covarrubias at the park.

Born Tuesday, Sept. 16, via c-section, the baby needed critical care from the training staff as the mom showed little interest in her newborn. Trainers provided supplemental bottle feedings (every four hours) while successfully introducing baby to mom.

Anteaters are one of the many animals guests can interact with at the all-inclusive Discovery Cove.
