VIDEO: First look inside Droid Depot at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge

One of the unique offerings that guests can experience at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is building their own astromech droid companion at Droid Depot.

For this experience, guests will enter a workshop filled with parts, chips, and manuals to craft their own galactic sidekick. Guests can choose between crafting either the BB-series and R-series droids.

Parts will flow in on conveyor belts as guests choose which ones to use to construct their unit. Once built, the guests will place their droids in an activation station to bring them to life; the droids will then be operated by remote control. They can even be further customized with personality-affiliation chips and other accessories.

Once activated, droids can interact with other droids and certain other elements throughout Black Spire Outpost.

In addition to the building experience, Droid Depot also offers pre-built droids, housewares, and apparel, all inspired by the design and engineering of these robotic friends.
