The park’s Master Model Builders have already begun construction and are drawing inspiration from areas like the Gaslamp District, Coronado, Del Mar, and of course, San Diego’s beautiful coastline. However, they need help choosing the best landmarks, iconic structures, and historical buildings in “America’s Finest City” to be recreated in Lego form.

“San Diego is one of America’s most beautiful destinations filled with incredible architecture, landscapes, and history – making it an obvious choice when selecting the next city to add to Miniland U.S.A.,” said Legoland California Resort President Kurt Stocks. “Our in-park Master Model Builders are extremely passionate about this project, and they can’t wait to collaborate with Legoland Parks fans near and far on the future of this very special addition to Miniland. Each build will provide guests with a deeper connection and understanding of our home city and will encourage our local and out of town visitors to embrace all that San Diego has to offer.”

Lego San Diego will be unveiled in the park’s Miniland U.S.A. area in spring 2023, where it will join Lego versions of New York, Washington, D.C., Las Vegas, and San Francisco. Guests can help ensure their favorite San Diego landmarks will be included by voting through Instagram story polls on the official Legoland California Instagram account.

Miniland San Diego (and the other Lego cities) are included in the price of admission to Legoland California Resort. Click here for details.
