What to expect when Summer House on the Lake opens at Disney Springs
Summer House on the Lake is opening this winter at Disney Springs and the restaurant shared exclusive details about what guests can expect, including a “Cookie Bar” and a Rosé cart.
The Disney Springs location of Summer House will be the fourth location for the California-inspired restaurant from Lettuce Entertain You Restaurants, joining restaurants in Chicago, Illinois, North Bethesda, Maryland, and Las Vegas, Nevada.
From the decor to the menu, Summer House on the Lake has several unique offerings Disney Springs guests can look forward to.
Summer House on the Lake will have a “Cookie Bar”
Cookie fans will surely rejoice because the brand’s first-ever “Cookie Bar” is arriving in Disney Springs, which will be featured front and center at the restaurant’s entrance.
The Cookie Bar will serve a selection of sweets, including oversized cookies with flavors like Sea Salt Chocolate Chip, Birthday Cake, Oatmeal Scotchie, Apple Oatmeal, and Vegan Snickerdoodle. Like Gideon’s Bakehouse (also at Disney Springs) this new restaurant will offer rotating seasonal cookie flavors.
In addition, the bar will offer a selection of coffee, wine, and beer on draft, as well as specialty cocktails like the Tropical Dreams with vodka, Pamplemousse liqueur, and habanero honey. This will be available to enjoy at the restaurant or to-go. Guests can also purchase a bottle of the restaurant’s private-label wine, Summer House Rosé, to take home.
Summer House on the Lake will have a Rosé Cart
Summer House on the Lake stated “it is always summer with the signature Rosé Cart,” which will offer more than six rosé varieties by the glass or bottle, including the restaurant’s star Summer House Rosé, made in partnership with California-based BonAnno Wines.
The Summer House Rosé stands out as a robust rosé, offering a delicate and floral taste with tart cherries and watermelon. A selection of spritzes, summery cocktails (including zero-proof options), fresh juices, and a largely California-sourced wine list add to the laid-back vibes at Summer House on the Lake.
Disney Springs gets another weekend brunch option
Summer House on the Lake will offer a Cali-Mex Weekend Brunch with a West Coast-inspired menu featuring celebrated favorites and signature items exclusive to Disney Springs.
Brunch will be served Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Some of the menu options include:
- Mexican Hash Browns
- Breakfast Pizza with applewood bacon with a sunny side up egg and Parmesan cream
- Breakfast Tostadas
- Pancakes and waffles
- Salads
- Sandwiches
Guests can also expect seasonal salads, artisan pizzas, and entrees like Herbed Chicken Paillard and local Grouper Fish ‘n’ Chips with malt vinegar fries and tartar sauce.
Groups with young children will not be overlooked as an extensive kids’ menu will be available all day, with a choice of vegetables or fries on the side with kids’ entrees.
Summer House on the Lake will feature California-inspired design
The restaurant stated their new Disney Springs location will offer a “California-Cool Design” to bring the beauty of a summer day indoors, with sweeping views and a relaxing lakeside breeze.
The restaurant space – designed with renowned architecture and design firm Rockwell Group – has three bars, a light-filled dining room centered around a tree reaching toward a skylight, and greenery throughout. With indoor and outdoor dining, Summer House on the Lake offers freestanding tables and banquettes ideal for families and large groups.
An iconic centerpiece of every Summer House location is the dining room’s bright blue “YES” sign, which symbolizes the team’s commitment to “saying yes” to the guest, and making each dining experience memorable.
