The simulation held its last day of operation today, Jan. 10, in preparation for a new ride scheduled to open in the area in 2021. The simulators have been a part of the experience for guests visiting Wild Arctic since it opened as an educational arctic animal exhibit in 1997.

Guests visiting this section of the park will still be able to enjoy the beluga whales, walruses, and seals throughout the development of the new attraction.

Stay tuned for more updates on the replacement attraction as we receive them. To learn more about SeaWorld San Diego, visit SeaWorld.com/San-Diego.

  1. I’m glad this is going, I did it last year for the first time in a few years and it sure hadn’t aged well. The whole simulator felt like it was on its last legs with jerky motion and creaking, and with the video itself, the less said about the CGI the better. As much as I did like the fact it kind of made the exhibit into a little expiriance, it will be nice to see something alot more up to date take its place.
