Wild Florida launches new Ranch Buggy tour

Swamp Buggy Wild Florida

Go back in time and see the “real” Florida while exploring one of the state’s oldest working cattle ranches on Wild Florida’s new all-terrain Ranch Buggy tour.

In partnership with the Partin family, one of Central Florida’s founding pioneer ranching families, Wild Florida guests can learn all about the cattle industry and its rich history in Osceola County on this new hour-long agricultural tour.

See first hand the birthplace of cowboys and ranching in the United States. Learn where the Florida Cracker Cow came from and see what Florida looked like 1,000 years ago. Hand feed ranch cows right from the buggy. And of course, go over the grasslands and through the backwoods big-time in search of deer, hogs, turkeys and other native birds.

“Our Wild Florida ranch buggy tour is a natural expansion and extension to our beautiful wildlife park. There is nowhere in Osceola County where you can see such a wide variety of flora and fauna, and now, ranching, in such a pristine, protected setting. From airboat rides through the Everglades, to getting up, close and personal to hundreds of exotic birds and animals, and now, thrilling ranch buggy rides, we have a feeling your family won’t want to leave Wild Florida; at least, until the cows come home,” said Jordan Munns, owner, Wild Florida.

The Partin family was among the first settlers of Central Florida in 1847. The first to introduce Brahman cattle to Central Florida, Henry O. Partin is credited with saving the Florida cattle industry because Brahman cattle were better suited to survive in tropical environments. Wild Florida’s Ranch Buggy tour navigates a portion of the Partin family’s 14,000-acre ranch.

Ranch buggy tours cost $30 per person and include admission to the Wildlife Park. Tours operate daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Wild Florida.

Wild Florida Airboat & Wildlife Park is 13-acres located at the headwaters of the Everglades, along the shores of Lake Cypress in Central Florida. For more information on Wild Florida Airboat Rides or the Adventure Park visit wildfloridairboats.com or call (407) 957-3135.
