Wild Wonderland begins this weekend at Lowry Park Zoo

Wild Wonderland at Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo

Wild Wonderland is ready to transform Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo into a winter wonderland. Tickets are now available online or at the Zoo’s front gate.

For 15 nights Dec. 6, 12-14, 18-23 and 26-30, the forecast calls for 100 percent chance of snowfall with “Florida flurries” and more than a million twinkling lights. Guests are invited to stroll through an array of animated displays, enjoy light shows choreographed to holiday tunes, and find decorations and lights throughout the Zoo’s pathways.

Santa and his merry mammals – real reindeer – have traveled south just for this event. Their best-dressed friends, a colony of African penguins, will stay up late along with African animals like elephants and giraffes under the starry night sky. More merriment awaits with returning family favorites like free Zoo rides, reindeer games, fun inflatables, tasty holiday treats, festive music and wild gifts at the holiday shop.

‘Tis the season of giving, and by attending Wild Wonderland, guests are helping to support the Zoo, a nonprofit organization committed to excellence in education, conservation and recreation.

Admission for Wild Wonderland is $15 for adults (ages 12 and over), $13 for children (ages 3-11), and free for ages 2 and under. Annual Zoo Pass holders receive discounts. Parking is free. Tickets may be purchased on the Wild Wonderland website, at the front gate during business hours, or on the night of the event.
