Wine, Blue Man, Clifford and Meerkats coming to Orlando Science Center in May
Join Clifford the Big Red Dog, Blue Man Group and Meerkats in new and exciting ways, all coming to the Orlando Science Center next month. The Science Center is always changing exhibits, adding new films and events to keep it fresh and starting in the month of May there will be no lack of new things to do.
Third Annual Science of Wine
Taking place from 7 p.m. through 10 p.m. on May 11, 2013, the Third Annual Science of Wine is one of the largest collections of wines of any Orlando event. The Science of Wine is not just another wine tasting, but an oenological odyssey with presentations on multiple aspects of wine-growing and wine-tasting as well as the opportunity to sample more than 150 fine wines. Adventures with Clifford the Big Red Dog
Starting on May 4 and running through Sept. 8, 2013, guests can join Clifford, Emily Elizabeth and the other residents of Birdwell Island in a new traveling exhibit. This exhibit teaches guests Clifford’s Big Ideas – 10 simple, tangible life lessons designed to help children navigate their world. Clifford’s home on Birdwell Island comes to life with playful activities and delightful environments, giving children and parents a chance to explore Clifford’s world first-hand.
Blue Man Group – Making Waves
From May 25 through Sept. 2, 2013 this 1,500 square foot exhibit, designed to bring together science and art, will take the whole family through a multi-sensory exploration of the science of sound. Luminescent objects represent how sound would look if we could see it and unique Blue Man Group instruments teach guests how air and other mediums propagate sound. Ultimately, this colorful journey encourages collaborative learning and will enhance the whole family’s appreciation and understanding of quality light and sound.
Meerkats 3D
From May through Spring 2014, follow the story of meerkat matriarch Klinky and her clan as they take on the challenges of living in the unforgiving Kalahari Desert.
“Adventures with Clifford the Big Red Dog”, “Blue Man Group – Making Waves”, and “Meerkats 3D” are included in general admission to the Science Center which is $19 for adults and $13 for youth (ages 3 through 11).
