The local attraction will host a Sensory Day event on Nov. 17, 2019, giving those with special needs the chance to explore, learn, and have fun with exhibits that have been adapted for their comfort.

“WonderWorks is normally quite a sensory overload, so we are delighted to host these limited stimulation days for those with special needs,” said Brian Wayne, general manager of WonderWorks Orlando. “It creates an environment to enjoy the facility without feeling overwhelmed. We host several of these Sensory Days throughout the year, and each one is well-received by our guests attending!”

To help make the attraction sensory-friendly, guests can expect:

  • All exhibits altered to provide limited stimulation for children and adults with special needs
  • Music throughout the facility to be lowered
  • All exhibits that are considered to be loud to be turned off
  • The inversion tunnel at the start of the attraction to be shut off

“These unique days are for those with special needs or sensory issues, but everyone is welcome,” said Wayne. “We look forward to giving people this great experience.”

Tickets to WonderWorks’ next Sensory Day are $10 for everyone. To learn more, or to purchase tickets, visit WonderWorksOnline.com/Orlando.
