‘You Do Yule’ at Universal Studios Hollywood this holiday season
Universal Studios Hollywood has announced the lineup for its 2023 holiday season, including the return of Christmas in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter and Grinchmas.
The seasonal festivities will begin Nov. 24, 2023, and continue daily through Jan. 1, 2024, with returning favorites and an all-new musical “Who-liday” performance by the Who-Bee Doo-Wops.
Christmas in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter
The holiday season takes over the wizarding village of Hogsmeade as the land is transformed with merry décor, holiday a cappella performances from the Hogwarts Frog Choir, and delicious hot Butterbeer. Guests can also purchase exclusive holiday items, including personalized ornaments, sweaters, scarves, and stockings.
Each night at dusk, “The Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts Castle” light projection show illuminates the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry façade with magical images of Christmas accompanied by music from the Harry Potter film series.
Grinchmas
The Grinchmas Who-bilation also returns to Universal Plaza with an all-new daytime show featuring Who-ville’s latest musical sensation—the Who-Bee Doo-Wops—who’ll perform “Who-liday” classics.
A nightly lighting of the festive topsy-turvy 65-foot-tall “Grinchmas” tree and snowfall flurry will bring good tidings and season’s greetings.
Grinchmas activities include photo opportunities with the Grinch and his faithful dog Max, a daily reading of “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” with Cindy-Lou Who, a craft area for jolly holiday decorating, a selection of themed Who-tacular sweet treats (including the Grinch Donut), and the chance to visit the Who-ville post office to mail a merry postcard sharing three good deeds.
Universal CityWalk Hollywood
The Universal CityWalk shopping and dining district will be dressed for the holiday season, complete with a 40-foot-tall Christmas tree featuring more than 200,000 LED lights.
CityWalk Dining locations will also celebrate the season with special offerings, including a new seasonal milkshake at The Toothsome Chocolate Emporium & Savory Feast Kitchen (available at the Foundry milkshake bar and in the dining room) and seasonal flavors to celebrate the holiday spirit at Voodoo Doughnut.

- Mistletoe Mule, Chestnut Horchata, and Apple Cider Margarita at Antojitos Cocina Mexicana
- Peppermint Martini at NBC Sports Grill & Brew
- Co-co-Colada at Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville
- Winter Martini, Apple Cheer Martini, and Hot Apple Cider (available non-alcoholic or alcoholic) at VIVO Italian Kitchen
