AFI Showcase and gift shop closing at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

The American Film Institute Showcase (AFI) and gift shop located at the end of the Studio Backlot Tour at Disney’s Hollywood Studios will be closing for good after today, Aug. 17, 2014.

The collectible merchandise that was once sold inside Sid Cahuenga’s at the front of the park moved to this location, but will no longer be available once this gift shop closes.

The Backlot Tour will not be affected by the closure, and a replacement attraction is in the works and will be announced at a future date.
