2012 Hyperspace Hoopla, Dance-Off with the Star Wars Stars, one of the best, and sexiest yet – Video
One of the most anticipated events at Disney’s Hollywood Studios’ Star Wars Weekends is Hyperspace Hoopla, with its Dance-Off with the Star Wars Stars. After seeing the opening night performance, many are calling it the best one yet. See for yourself in our front-row video below.
The Hyperspace Hoopla portion of the show usually features a section called “Stump the Band” with the Star Wars cantina band doing the same routine before they break out dancing to the latest popular hits. This tired section has been shortened, speeding things up to what everyone wants to see, the Dance-Off.
Each year is a different show, with some of the most popular songs from the past year featured. In the past it’s sometimes been the girls versus the guys, or just different groups competing, with the audience’s cheers deciding the winning group. But this year it’s the “Good Guys” versus the “Bad Guys”.
You’ll see Emperor Palpatine and his royal guards dancing to Mama Said Knock You Out by LL Cool J. You’ll see Darth Vader, Boba Fett and some Stormtroopers dance to Smooth Criminal by Alien Ant Farm. And you’ll see Slave Leia, Padme, Chewbacca, C-3PO and other Star Wars stars dancing to Sexy and I Know It by LMFAO (That’s where the sexy part comes in).
