What’s to come in 2019 at Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter

Next year is already shaping up to be a magical one at Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter, with a year’s worth of exciting events.

With experiences focusing on the magic of the Harry Potter films, both onscreen and off, guests have plenty to enjoy in 2019.

Events lined up for 2019 include:

Introducing the Art Department – Saturday, Feb. 9 – Monday, Feb. 25

Guests can discover the artistry and craftsmanship behind every detail of the Wizarding World with this exhibit – from technical drawings and white card models to concept art and prop making.

During this time, the Studio Tour will play host to some of the original members of the Art Department on the Potter films, who will demonstrate a range of filmmaking techniques, including wand-making demonstrations by the team who created thousands of wands for the films.

Dark Arts – Friday, Sept. 27 – Sunday, Nov. 10

The Dark Arts will return for Halloween in 2019, complete with the Great Hall decorated for the occasion with over 100 floating pumpkins, and a feast of lollipops and red apples dressing the long tables.

Guests can work on their wand combat moves against Death Eaters in a live duel demonstration. With these demonstrations, visitors can learn how battle scenes were directed in the Potter films before taking a stroll down a darker, spookier Diagon Alley.

Hogwarts in the Snow – Saturday, Nov. 16, 2019 – Sunday, Jan. 26, 2020

2019 will come to a close with the return of the Studio Tour’s popular holiday exhibit, Hogwarts in the Snow.

This festive event will see Christmas trees line the Great Hall, the Gryffindor common room will be dressed for the holiday season, and a blanket of filmmaking snow will cover the Hogwarts castle model.

Tickets to The Making of Harry Potter are £43 ($56.27) for adults, £35 ($45.80) for kids ages 5-15, and free for kids ages 4 and under. Tickets must be purchased in advance, and you can pick yours up online here.
