Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter offers visitors the chance to step into authentic sets from the Harry Potter movies, including the Great Hall, Diagon Alley, Gringotts Wizarding Bank, and the original Hogwarts Express at Platform 9 ¾.

In 2022, a brand new feature — “Magical Mischief” — will reveal some of the filmmaking trickery used to create the movies’ magical pranks and mishaps, and the seasonal “Dark Arts” and “Hogwarts in the Snow” features will allow guests to celebrate Halloween and Christmas in the Wizarding World.

Magical Mischief

Jan. 22 – May 1, 2022

Brand new for 2022, Magical Mischief will share the secrets of how favorite mischievous moments from the Harry Potter stories were brought to the screen.

As guests enter the Great Hall, they will see the set dressed for the fan-favorite Weasley prank that disrupts the peaceful O.W.L.s exam in “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix,” featuring the infamous pink two-piece costume of Dolores Umbridge and the Weasley twins’ costumes on their broomsticks suspended from the Great Hall ceiling.

Throughout the Studio Tour, demonstrations will reveal how clever camera trickery created the disappearing effect of the invisibility cloak, how the special effects teams created the fireplace letter scene inside 4 Privet Drive, as well as Fred and George Weasley’s accidental beards and burned costumes after they put their names into the Goblet of Fire.

In addition, visitors will be able to make their own origami howler, just like the one Mrs. Weasley delivered to Ron in “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets,” and eagle-eyed visitors who spot the pesky Cornish Pixies on the loose around the studio tour can collect stamps as part of the Marauder’s Map activity passport.

Dark Arts

Sept. 23 – Nov. 6, 2022

Pumpkins in the Great Hall

The Studio Tour’s popular Dark Arts feature returns for Halloween with the Great Hall ceiling decorated with over 100 floating pumpkins. Visitors are also invited to follow the Dark Mark trail, try their wand combat moves against Death Eaters in a live duel, and explore a darker Platform 9 ¾ and spookier Diagon Alley.

Hogwarts in the Snow

Nov. 12, 2022 – Jan. 15, 2023

The return of the Yule Ball for Hogwarts in the Snow marks the holiday season with a festive makeover of the Great Hall that recreates the Christmastime Yule Ball from “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.” In addition, a blanket of filmmaking snow will cover the Forbidden Forest, Diagon Alley, and the Hogwarts castle model.

Warner Bros. Studio Tour London ticket prices for 2022 start at £49.95 for adults ages 16+ (about $66 USD) and £39.95 for kids ages 5-15 (about $53 USD). Children under 4 are free.
