A look inside Aladdin’s Times Square Palace Suite in New York

Whether you’re visiting New York or are a NYC local, be sure to check out Aladdin’s Times Square Palace Suite. I recently had the opportunity to stay in this suite during the week Disney’s “Aladdin on Broadway” celebrated its 10th anniversary, and I can wholeheartedly say my stay was nothing short of amazing.

The Aladdin-themed corner suite on the 22nd floor of the Hilton New York Times Square was designed by Devin Sparkles Design, which also designs some of Broadway’s best dressing rooms.

“Our location in Times Square offers an exceptional homebase for travelers and families visiting New York City for Broadway, with the hit show ‘Aladdin the Musical’ at the New Amsterdam Theatre just steps away from our doors,” said Hilton New York Times Square General Manager Thomas Caska. “We’re thrilled to partner with this incredible musical to transport our guests to the fictional world of Agrabah where guests can embrace the magic of the show, creating an exclusive, memorable stay at our property in the heart of the Big Apple.”

Even before entering the suite, there was artwork inspired by “Aladdin the Musical” in the hallway outside the room; however, when I walked into the suite, I felt transported to Agrahbah. I was delighted by the level of detail put into its theming. Some of the room highlights include:

  • Show prints and costume and design sketches
  • Moroccan wall sconces
  • Magic Carpet Moroccan rugs
  • Silk decor
  • Magic genie lamp light
  • Lago-inspired bird light
  • Bright curtains
  • “Cave of Wonders”-style bathroom with a gold mirror, vases, and gems
  • Pull-out couch
  • Themed-throw pillows

Although the entire room was beautiful and spacious, what stood out most to me was the bed decorated with colorful linens and topped with a carpet piece, a decorative gold plate, and throw pillows. Since I had work to do during my visit, I spent a lot of time at the well-lit desk area thanks to the genie light.

Guests who book a stay in this themed suite also receive the following:

  • Two complimentary Premium Orchestra tickets to Broadway’s “Aladdin the Musical”
  • “Genie-tini” cocktails or Magic Mocktails (two)
  • A wake-up call from the Broadway musical’s Genie, Michael James Scott (must advise front office team)
  • Aladdin coloring materials (upon request)
  • Show merchandise
  • Complimentary breakfast
  • Complimentary parking

“Aladdin The Musical”

The standout feature of the Hilton Times Square is that it’s in the heart of Times Square and only a couple hundred feet away from the entrance to the New Amsterdam Theater, where “Aladdin the Musical” is performed.

As part of my visit, I received two complimentary tickets with fantastic seats in the orchestra. Even though my matinee show time was at 2 p.m., I departed from the Hilton Times Square at 1:15 p.m., picked up my tickets from the box office, and could still get comfortable in my seat before showtime. I was especially grateful that I only had to walk a couple of steps to the theater and didn’t have to navigate the hustle and bustle of Times Square.

Aladdin the Musical

As someone who grew up in New York City, I’ve been fortunate to see a fair share of Broadway productions, but few were as wonderful as this one. From the music, set design, and choreography, this show was nothing short of amazing.

The rate for the suite (including theater tickets) starts at $599 per night and can be reserved by contacting [email protected] or calling (212) 913-9488. Please note that the room must be booked at least 72 hours in advance. Click here for additional information about the Aladdin Times Square Palace Suite at Hilton Times Square.
