Adventureland Treehouse will open on Nov. 10 at Disneyland

The reimagined walk-through Adventureland Treehouse (most recently themed to Disney’s animated movie “Tarzan”) will tell a fresh story inspired by the original treehouse themed to the Disney live-action movie “Swiss Family Robinson.”

Ahead of the Nov. 10, 2023 opening, Disneyland revealed new artwork and details about the  attraction’s story line, including that the family built their treehouse from objects found around them as a place to collaborate together while also pursuing individual skills and talents.

The Adventureland Treehouse Includes:

  • The Waterwheel – Powered by the nearby stream, the waterwheel generates energy to activate many of the family’s gadgets and inventions
  • The Daughter’s Room – This room provides a clear view of the night sky for the family member who spends her time tracking stars, planets, and comets with her many telescopes.
  • The Mother’s Music Room – Featuring instruments including a harp, lute, guitar, and organ, from here is where mother fills her home with music
  • The Twin Brothers’ Room – Features a large collection of plants and animals living in harmony
  • The Father’s Studio – Filled with gadgets, appliances, and devices of his own invention.

To share their way of life with visitors, the family invites guests to explore their treetop abode; however, father’s art studio on the ground floor will display hand-drawn sketches and paintings of each room above for guests who cannot (or don’t want to) climb the stairs.

Holidays at the Disneyland will also begin Nov. 10, 2023 and continue through Jan. 7, 2024. Click here for information about visiting the Disneyland Resort.

  1. Lemme get this straight: Disney took the Swiss Family Treehouse and remade it (cheaply) as Tarzan, now has remade it to Swiss Family, but it won’t call it Swiss Family Treehouse even though that’s a classic Disney movie, and now lets it be a “generic family” treehouse that has no story tie-in to Disney at all, but after two iterations as an “IP-based” attraction now lacks all association with Disney history. Weird.
