In honor of Disneyland Resort’s newly-reimagined land, “Mickey’s Toontown Express” features playful hand-painted images of Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Donald, Daisy, and Chip ‘n’ Dale who are smiling from the boarding doors and winglets.

“Our partnership with Alaska Airlines is 25 years strong and we are thrilled to celebrate with another painted plane,” said Sybil Crum, VP of Marketing and Commercial Strategy for the Disneyland Resort. “Mickey’s Toontown is a celebration of storytelling, so it’s a celebration of this great land.”

The new Boeing 737-800 (tail number 565AS) is Alaska Airlines’ eighth livery in collaboration with Disneyland Resort, including the Pixar-themed “Friendship and Beyond at Disneyland Resort” and “Star Wars Transport to the Disneyland Resort” currently in the air. Mickey’s Toontown Express will fly on routes across Alaska Airlines’ network for several years before it reaches the end of its normal rotation.

After a special gate ceremony on Nov. 1, 2023, in Seattle, Wash,, the plane embarked on its inaugural flight to Orange County, Calif., to visit The Happiest Place on Earth.

It took artists more than 400 hours and 20 days to hand paint the brightly colored aircraft exterior from nose to tail.
