Disney merchandise inside the theme parks can add up quickly, making seasonal collections at retailers like Aldi an appealing alternative for fans planning holiday visits or decorating their homes.
There are also a couple of curious details in Aldi’s promotional materials. The retailer’s website listed the Hello Kitty gingerbread pillow as a “Disney Hello Kitty” product when we visited Nov. 1, although Hello Kitty belongs to Sanrio.
Aldi’s promotional photo for the Disney collection also includes a Shrek holiday mug, despite Shrek being a DreamWorks character.

These affordable Disney holiday accessories are perfect for guests planning to experience Christmas at Walt Disney World, including Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom and the festive celebrations throughout the Orlando theme parks.
Over on the West Coast, the seasonal backpacks and Minnie ears are also great additions to holiday outfits for Christmas at Disneyland Resort.
Gingerbread Spider-Man, Bluey and more
One of the most unexpected additions to Aldi’s holiday collection is a lineup of gingerbread-inspired character pillows for $12.99 each.
The designs transform familiar characters into Christmas cookie-style decorations, including Spider-Man, Bluey, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Winnie the Pooh, and Hello Kitty.

Spider-Man and Bluey are particularly fun surprises, expanding the gingerbread theme beyond traditional Disney Christmas characters. The pillows could also make affordable holiday gifts for Marvel, Disney, and Bluey fans.
But let’s back up. Did you notice it too? When we visited Aldi’s website on Nov. 1, the retailer listed the Hello Kitty gingerbread pillow as a “Disney Hello Kitty” product. However, Hello Kitty is a Sanrio character, not a Disney character.
