New slogan for Disney Princesses
“Create Your World” is the new slogan for the official Disney Princesses franchise, Disney announced July 31, 2024. The phrase will be the centerpiece of a multi-year, global campaign which will extend to products, music, and more. A previous campaign heralded a different tagline, “Dream Big, Princess.”

Of the new slogan, Disney said, “Through the stories of beloved Disney Princess characters and their iconic adventures, ‘Create Your World’ celebrates that every girl can go beyond dreaming big, to doing big things.”
The brand also debuted a new logo (above), with a less scripty font than its previous version.
Updated designs for all 13 Disney Princesses
With the launch of “Create Your World,” Disney updated the official designs of the 13 characters across the Disney Princess brand. Most of the changes are subtle: slight tweaks to the overall art style, as well as changing a facial expression here or there. Overall, the 2024 designs appear more dimensional than the previous designs, which looked more storybook-esque.

With the help of the Wayback Machine, we sifted through the internet archives of Disney’s official website to retrieve the characters’ official designs over the past decade or so.

‘Create Your World’
The “Create Your World” campaign is hitting the ground running, with tie-ins already underway. All 13 characters appear in “Leading Ladies!,” a new Little Golden Book releasing Aug. 6, 2024 and celebrating leadership, empowerment, and community. Just a few days later on Aug. 9, Disney will release a cover of “Almost There” from “The Princess and the Frog” performed by Grammy winner Coco Jones on digital music platforms.

Additionally, princess heroes will star in limited-time shows this month at Disneyland Paris and Hong Kong Disneyland.
A look back at Princess coronations
From 2009-2013, Disney made a habit of instating new Princesses with formal ceremonies. Upon the release of “The Princess and the Frog,” Donald Duck and other characters welcomed Princess Tiana to the Disney family during a one-time ceremony at Magic Kingdom.
Following the 2010 debut of “Tangled,” Rapunzel was coronated as a Disney Princess at Kensington Palace in London in 2011.
A year after “Brave” released, all of the Disney Princesses — plus Olympic gold medallist Gabby Douglas — gathered at Magic Kingdom to celebrate Merida’s coronation.
While not officially in the Princess franchise, Elena was welcomed to Magic Kingdom by Cinderella during a daily, limited-time show in 2016 (the carriage portion in the video below being a one-time occasion).
