Working together, Andretti Indoor Karting & Games and Zamperla combined their efforts to develop a VR roller coaster experience that combines the thrills of internationally recognized coasters with the safety and convenience of a VR simulator.

The Gear Coaster currently features ride experiences from The Cyclone and The Thunderbolt from Luna Park in Coney Island, N.Y. as well as the Mine Train from Ocean Park in Hong Kong. The ride’s technology allows guests to experience roller coasters they might not otherwise be able to ride, as well as provides a safe experience for guests who might be too nervous to ride a real, full-size roller coaster.

The Gear Coaster dips, shakes, and bounces in time with the VR experience while wind machines simulate actually being on these world-renowned coasters. Careful testing and design was implemented to ensure that the Gear Coaster doesn’t upset stomachs the way many VR and roller coaster experiences do. The Gear Coaster currently features three roller coasters with the capability to include more.

The Gear Coaster is now open at Andretti Indoor Karting & Games and is currently available in packages of $6.95 for one ride and $9.95 for two. Andretti Indoor Karting & Games is located at 9299 Universal Blvd, Orlando, FL 32819.

Be sure to catch a segment about this new experience on an upcoming episode of “The Attractions Show” on our YouTube channel. For more information, visit www.AndrettiKarting.com.
