New this summer at Aquatica San Antonio, Kata’s Kookaburra Cove is now welcoming its first guests, with 19 play elements, a soft floor, waterfalls, and fountains across 3,000 square feet of space.

“This children’s splash pad is a testament to our commitment to providing unforgettable experiences for families,” said Jodi Davenport, park president of SeaWorld San Antonio. “We’re thrilled that this re-imagined design is exclusively for the younger crowd and will be a refreshing, interactive oasis that will foster joy, imagination, and adventure.”

Kata’s Kookaburra Cove is the newest in an extensive selection of kid-focused activities at Aquatica. Elsewhere throughout the water park, guests can enjoy Slippity Dippity (a kiddie pool), Cutback Cove (a “big kids” pool with water slide), Walkabout Waters (a funhouse with the ever-important, huge bucket that dumps water onto guests), and Zippity Zappity (a set of body slides for children).

Adults are welcome to kick back in the nearby shaded lounge area, or in a private cabana with concierge service. (Cabanas in Kata’s Kookaburra Cove start at $149.99.)

More New Fun at Aquatica

Other upcoming and recent additions bring new fun to Aquatica San Antonio, including Mango Market, which will open later in the summer to serve personal flatbread pizzas. Last year, the water park opened Riptide Race, an exhilarating tube racing slide.
