Asian-inspired foods coming to San Fransokyo at Disney California Adventure
Beginning July 19, 2023, Asian and “Big Hero 6” inspired food options will begin appearing in San Fransokyo Square at Disney California Adventure.
San Fransokyo Square in Disney California Adventure Park will transport guests to the not-too-distant future, in a fictional mash-up of two iconic cities: San Francisco and Tokyo. As the tech industry began to emerge, and the local fishing trade fell on hard times, entrepreneurs came together to reinvent the seaside canneries into a vibrant, multicultural district of neighborhood restaurants and small businesses where guests can eat and shop.
The San Fransokyo Square eateries will open throughout the summer, starting with Lucky Fortune Cookery on July 19, 2023. In the following weeks, more dining options will join the seaside plaza through mid-August.
Aunt Cass Café, Port of San Fransokyo Cervecería, and Rita’s Turbine Blenders will feature diverse menus with items like the Shrimp Katsu Sandwich and Beef Birria Ramen. Guests will also be able to purchase a Baymax Sipper. Some past favorites will continue on, like Lucky Fortune Cookery and Cocina Cucamonga Mexican Grill.
Disney has given early previews of upcoming food items, such as the Karaage-inspired crispy chicken sandwich at Lucky Fortune Cookery. This item will be available beginning July 19.
Disney has also provided a new look at original concept art for San Fransokyo Square, the update to Pacific Wharf coming soon to Disney California Adventure at the Disneyland Resort.
