‘Avatar: The Way of Water’ back in movie theaters fall 2025 before ‘Avatar: Fire and Ash’
The 2022 film “Avatar: The Way of Water” will be back in the theaters for a week beginning Oct. 3, 2025.

Fans of the “Avatar” films will be able to enjoy the second movie in the franchise on the big screen once again. “Avatar: The Way of Water” will return less than three months before the next film is set to release. (“Avatar: Fire and Ash” will hit theaters on Dec. 19.)

Further into the future, an “Avatar” ride is coming to Disney California Adventure at Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, Calif.
This film is an Academy Award winner
Nominated for four Academy Awards, “Avatar: The Way of Water” won the award for visual effects. It is also the third-highest-grossing film of all time. This film takes place 10 years after the first film, “Avatar,” which released in 2009 and still holds tight to that #1 box-office spot.
