BON, ‘world’s first luxury-focused theme park,’ opening in 2026
BON, described as the world’s first luxury theme park, will open in 2026 at VidantaWorld Nuevo Vallarta in Mexico.
A significant new entertainment destination seeks to reshape Mexico’s position on the world tourism stage.
VidantaWorld Nuevo Vallarta, a 2,500-acre, luxury-focused resort complex in Mexico from Grupo Vidanta, began opening in phases on Dec. 1, 2025, with additional milestones arriving through fall 2026. This includes the debut of BON Luxury Theme Park, what the company calls the world’s first luxury theme park.
Designed to become “the best of all possible worlds,” VidantaWorld will blend high-end hospitality, immersive entertainment, and natural beauty into a car-free, resort-only environment that aims to rival today’s dominant theme park destinations.
BON Luxury Theme Park – Opening fall 2026
The crown jewel of VidantaWorld’s rollout is the BON Luxury Theme Park, which will open exclusively to resort guests in fall 2026. The park positions itself as the world’s first luxury-centric theme park, with its model centered on low crowds, short waits, high service standards, and an elevated environment that blends attractions with premium hospitality.
Highlights of BON Luxury Theme Park include:
- 23 attractions (mix of coasters like Tecuani Beast, family rides & media experiences)
- 25 restaurants surpassing typical theme park dining, according to VidantaWorld
- 16 shops
- Immersive worlds: BON Plaza, Fantasy Gardens, Empire of Light, Land of Legends, & Cirque du Soleil Zone
- Major partnerships with Intamin, Vekoma, Mack Rides, Zamperla, Brogent, & P&P Projects
BON Luxury Theme Park will be exclusive to guests of the BON Hotel and other luxury accommodations through 2027. There exist approximately 3,000 suites in total.

BON Hotel – opened Dec. 1, 2025
The first new offering at VidantaWorld Nuevo Vallarta is the BON Hotel, an all-suite luxury property overlooking the forthcoming BON Luxury Theme Park. Many suites offer direct park views, while interiors emphasize family comfort with lounges, kitchenettes, and elegant finishes inspired by the park’s imaginative design.
Cirque du Soleil LÚDŌ – Dec. 16, 2025
Cirque du Soleil LÚDŌ is a $200-million, aquatic-themed show housed in a custom-built 696-seat theater. Featuring a 360-degree water stage, wraparound aquarium, gourmet dining, and next-gen special effects, LÚDŌ marks Cirque du Soleil’s first aquatic production since “O” in Las Vegas. Guests attending LÚDŌ will access the Wonder Bay area of the BON Luxury Theme Park months before the park’s official opening.
Concert series – 2025 & 2026
VidantaWorld’s concert lineup aims to match the destination’s premium ambitions:
- Dec. 11, 2025 — Lionel Richie launches the resort’s new concert series.
- May 21, 2026 — Michael Bublé headlines the first major performance of the 2026 season.
- Additional global stars will join the series throughout 2026.
A 50-year vision reaches its peak with VidantaWorld Nuevo Vallarta
VidantaWorld Nuevo Vallarta will also feature multiple championship golf courses, a private gondola system, spas, recreation, and the PGA Tour Mexico in October 2026. The property follows the existing VidantaWorld Rivera Maya in the Caribbean, complete with its own Cirque du Soleil show, hotel, golf course, and beaches.
