Burger King is once again tapping into blockbuster pop culture with the launch of a new limited-time menu inspired by Disney and Lucasfilm’s upcoming film “Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu,” arriving at participating restaurants nationwide beginning May 4.

Featured Menu Items

  • BBQ Bounty Whopper® – Flame-grilled quarter-pound beef burger with Swiss cheese, pickle chips, bacon, lettuce, tomato, and Bounty BBQ sauce. Served in a helmet-shaped carton inspired by a bounty hunter.
  • Grogu’s Blue Cookie Shake – Soft serve blended with blue sugar cookie syrup and topped with blue cookies.
  • Grogu’s Garlic Chicken Fries – Chicken Fries seasoned with parmesan and garlic, with garlic dipping sauce.
  • Imperial Cheddar Ranch Tots – Tots stuffed with cheddar cheese and ranch seasoning

Leading the lineup is the BBQ Bounty Whopper, a flame-grilled quarter-pound burger topped with Swiss cheese, bacon, pickles, lettuce, tomato, and a smoky Bounty BBQ sauce. Burger King says the sandwich will be served in specialty packaging inspired by a bounty hunter helmet, giving the item a more premium presentation.

The menu also includes Grogu’s Blue Cookie Shake, a blue-colored dessert beverage blended with soft serve and cookie-flavored syrup, along with Grogu’s Garlic Chicken Fries, seasoned with parmesan and garlic. Rounding out the offerings are Imperial Cheddar Ranch Tots, featuring cheddar-filled potato bites dusted with ranch seasoning.

Cups and toys

Guests who purchase qualifying meals will also have the opportunity to collect one of four themed collectible cups, while younger fans can look for a new King Jr. Meal launching April 28 with Mandalorian-themed toys.

Although Burger King has not officially released a look at the kids’ meal toys, the release is happening in Mexico may be the same toys coming to the U.S.

Notably, this promotion differs from some of Burger King’s recent entertainment tie-ins by not featuring a specialty bun or dramatically altered sandwich bread. Previous collaborations, including promotions tied to “How to Train Your Dragon” and “SpongeBob SquarePants,” used colorful or custom buns as a headline visual element to generate social media attention.

The move also reflects how chains are increasingly balancing viral menu design with operational simplicity. Specialty buns often create strong first impressions, but they can cause some hesitation from guests who prefer consistency. By keeping the core sandwich structure familiar and focusing on sauces, packaging, and companion items, Burger King is most likely going for wider appeal.

These are timed to coincide with the annual “May the Fourth” celebration, the promotion brings a galaxy-themed lineup of food, drinks, collectibles, and kids’ meal toys to restaurants ahead of the movie’s theatrical debut on May 22, 2026.
