Bury dad in the London Dungeon

The London Dungeon attraction in London, England is offering the Father’s Day gift you never knew you wanted, with the opportunity to bury dear old dad inside the attraction when he departs this mortal coil.

Not sure what to get your dad-who-has-everything on June 19, 2022? Make it a Father’s Day gift that will keep giving for all of eternity once dad passes – or, as they say in England, after he “pops his clogs.”

The London Dungeon is running a contest, with the prize being the storage of winning fathers’ ashes inside the South Bank attraction, interring him alongside some of the capital city’s most infamous and iconic characters.

Family members will be allowed to pay a free visit to the attraction with dad on Father’s Day 2023, to inspect his future resting place and “make treasured memories.”

Once dad rests in peace, up to four members of each family can make annual Father’s Day pilgrimages to the London Dungeon, also for free, for the opportunity to pay their respects while enjoying the attraction’s jokes, puns, and history lessons.

To nominate your dad for this “honor,” email [email protected] with your name, age, a photo of you with dear old dad, and a brief description of why he deserves to spend all of eternity in the attraction.

Entries open at noon U.K. time (7 a.m. ET) on June 15, 2022 and close on June 17. Winners will be chosen at the discretion of the London Dungeon, and will be notified via email on June 17. Those who do not receive an email have not been successful.

Selected entrants will receive a downloadable gift certificate detailing dad’s final resting place to give to him as a once-in-a-lifetime Father’s Day gift.
