Busch Entertainment changes name to SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment

It was nearly two months ago that the sale of Busch Entertainment Corp. and its theme parks to The Blackstone Group was made public. Now a new name for the company has been revealed.

“SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment” replaces “Busch Entertainment Corporation” with the closing of the sale announced jointly today by Anheuser-Busch InBev and The Blackstone Group.

SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment operates 10 parks across the U.S., including SeaWorld Orlando, Aquatica in Orlando, Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, and Adventure Island in Tampa.

“[SeaWorld] is one of the world’s most widely recognized and respected family travel brands,” said Jim Atchison, SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment President. “SeaWorld has been a brand associated with quality family entertainment since SeaWorld San Diego opened its gates for the first time in March 1964.”

For now, Busch Gardens retains the Busch name.

  1. Is there a special going on that you buy one ticket and get to go for the rest of the year free ? Bush gardens

Also I’m taking my 94 year old mother to bush gardens. We do not ride the rides and only stay a couple hours. Is there any discounts for this ?
