Located on the North Carolina-South Carolina border, it made sense for Carowinds to start its 2022 “Seasons of Fun” with the new “State Line Celebration” from April 9-May 8. This limited-time extravaganza aims to prove “there’s no place finer than being in the Carolinas” through authentic cuisine, locally produced beers, and hometown musicians from the Tar Heel and Palmetto states.

Additional Carowinds amusement park headliner events add up to “Seasons of Fun”:

Grand Carnivale – From June 25-July 10, it’s party time on a grand scale during this larger-than-life international festival. Take part in block parties and traditions from around the world, with pulsating live music, dancing, acrobat acts, delectable cuisines, and an electrifying “Spectacle of Color” parade.

SCarowinds – Running on select nights from September 16-October 30, the Carolina’s largest annual Halloween event returns to the park, adding fright to the night with haunted mazes, terrifying scare zones, and a host of hangry zombies and blood-thirsty vampires.

Tricks and Treats Fall Fest – With its focus more on families than on frights, this all-new offering brings fall fun to park guests on Saturdays and Sundays from September 17-October 30. Join in the spooktacular autumn activities, including fall-themed games, game shows, and a jellybean challenge.

Get your grove on at a dance party, find your way through a hay maze, take on the challenge of a QR Code scavenger hunt, and delight the little ones with a kid-sized tractor ride.

Youngsters won’t want to miss the Trick-or-Treat spots around the park, and they’re encouraged to dress in their Halloween costumes. No costume? No problem! The Costume Council will be on the lookout for little visitors with or without costumes, jazzing them up and recruiting them for a costume contest.

A selection of specialty foods, plus craft beers and ciders (ages 21 and up only), keep park-goers fueled up for fun.
